Health protocols are starting to kinda ease up now in the country. People are generally allowed outside of their homes except of course, the vulnerable populations, such as, 21 years old and below and 60 years old and above.

However, there are still a lot of rules to follow when going outside; practicing social distancing, proper hand and surface disinfection and hand washing and wearing face masks and face shields.

Workers are required to wear masks all day long, which leads to soreness in the back of the ear area.

The solution: Ear Savers

I made these ear savers out of the black indophil yarn I have. At first I had trouble finding buttons. Then I found these cute ones just lying around on my yarn drawer.

I used 3mm crochet hook and 1.9mm hook for sewing the buttons. I’d use a tapestry needle if I had it because it will make it easier.

At first, I made the small one with two buttons. These were the more popular types of ear savers I see on several Facebook Groups I’m in

But, it is kinda limited. It can only stretch on the length of the yarn. It also uses two buttons which is not so reseourceful and a bit wasteful in my opinion.

So I made these adjustable version that uses only one button.
