This art contest for promoting Blood donations has passed through my timeline.
It is organized by NHS UK and is open to participants worldwide. The aim of this contest is to create artworks that will encourage more people to donate blood.
As a crocheter, I tried to conceptualize something that can be used to symbolize and signify blood donation. I thought of making blood bags and drops of blood.
For this project, I used red and off-white colored acrylic yarns, 3.00mm crochet hook, thread scissors, and tapestry needle

The first thing I did was the blood bags replica
I just made 8 layers of 5 double crochets and joined the ends with the off white colored yarn. At the end, I made a couple of chains so it would look like a line.
I made two of these and they turned out really cute!

The second item I made is the blood droplets. I just used a simple raindrop pattern.. The difference is that it is red, signigying blood and the thought of Every drop counts.
I used the same materials, except for the off white acrylic yarn.
I think this made it pretty symbolic

I edited the final and official entry using Canva and I think it turned out pretty well.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
