Hot or cold? Well… why not both?
When the first pattern for #ReStitchCAL2026 dropped, I knew immediately that I wanted to use my stash. Every crocheter has those random scrap balls of yarn hanging around from previous projects, just waiting for the right moment to shine!
The only problem with using scraps is the guessing game—it’s always hard to anticipate if those “random balls” will actually be enough for what you need. I realized pretty quickly that I wouldn’t be able to make an identical pair, but honestly? That was the best part.
There’s something so cute and oddly satisfying about a mismatched look. I’ve always been fond of wearing mismatched socks or asymmetrical earrings, so I figured, why not bring that energy to my crochet?
I dug through my stash and found a variety of blues for an “Icy Cold” theme on one leg.
Then, I found a bunch of oranges for the perfect “Fiery Hot” contrast on the other!
Fire and Ice.
Hot and Cold.
I got to work, and I am obsessed with how they turned out! They are absolutely perfect for the peak of Amihan season here in the islands right now. There’s nothing like a cozy pair of legwarmers to handle that cool breeze! 🌬️🏝️
