I recently stumbled upon this Fairia yarn in the craft section at Daiso, and let me tell you—it was quite the hunt! I found it at one branch, but when I tried to track down more at another location, there was absolutely none.

Well, if you won’t be able to find it you can also use any organza lace ribbon.

It comes in several beautiful shades and the texture is so unique. It has this airy, net-like appearance that I haven’t really seen anywhere else.

As soon as I touched it, I knew it would make the most gorgeous flowers. I wanted the design to really take advantage of that mesh texture to create light, ruffly petals—and it worked perfectly! These look like something straight out of a fairy tale.

Because these turned out so cute, I wanted to make sure you could make them too! I’ve written out the steps for you right here so you don’t have to guess

Materials:

Yarn scissors

• Fairia yarn in 2 colors (one for petal and one for the middle) OR organza lace

6.0mm crochet hook

Special stitches

Modified sc: insert hook in the st and pull a loop. Anchor your middle finger to the yarn before pulling the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook. Adjust the ‘petal’ to desired length.

As much as possible, ensure that the petals are roughly the same size for a uniform look. You can also alternate short petal and long petal for a different design

Pattern

1. With middle color, create a magic ring. ch 1, 12 sc into the ring. Tighten the magic ring then sl st to the beg ch. Cut off. Turn.

2. With petal color, tie it into an sc from the previous round. Ensure that you are working in the back part of the flower. Create 2 modified sc in each of the sts of the previous round. sl st to the beg ch.

3. Spread each ‘petal’ for a fuller look.

And it’s done!

I did not weave the ends because I plan to use it in tying it to my other projects.

✨ BONUS: If you’re more of a visual learner, I’ve put together a video guide to show you exactly how to work with this unique yarn texture. Check it out below

I love these flowers so much I made a lot and you can do a lot of color combinations as well!

Do you like it?

Show me your work if you’ll make it! I’d love to see ♡
